Surprised at how down to earth and smart he is.
He's natural calmness and demeanor portrays him as arrogant
So good that we no longer rate him. Even what's for others defender appear normal when VVD does it.
I remember what the commentary (I think it was Neville) said during that Sissoko/Son moment, something like “young defenders, take a look at this! Learn from this genius defending!” amazing what a split second decision picking a lesser evil could cause to your team.

This interviewer is one of the best I’ve seen in football. Normally I get a bit of a cringe feeling the way interviewers interview football players, but this guy seems genuine, fun and good hearted. Virgil van Dijk. He's doing a great job as captain of Liverpool. He's clearly the best defender in the world. Liverpool should give him another contract, 4 years. Put him on the same money as Mo Salah. Keep both of them at the club at all costs.
