  1. Unpopular opinion: Man Utd is actually not that bad going forward, they creates decent chances… if they sort out their defensive and goalkeeping issues I think they’ll be contending for Europe… it easy to bash a team when they concede tones of goals!

  2. Newly promoted? Burnley were in the Premier League a year ago. They spent 6 years in the prem until 21/22 and came back in 23/24 and 25/26. Burnley also beat Sunderland who beat Brentford today. Burnley are not the best side but they have top flight experience.

    – No one is saying the win is hiding the weaknesses in this team. Amorim knows that this win does not paper over the cracks. Believe it or not, Amorim is trying to mend the cracks. The cracks that a decade of mismanagement has contributed to. The results right now don't prove that so it's easy criticise.

    – United have had managers who kept things hidden. They lied to the media about what they really thought. They didn't get emotional.
The media and fans said United needed someone more charismatic and capable of communicating well and showing emotion – humanistic traits. Well, they have the guy now.

    – Amorim explained in the press conference why he did not start Sesko. Media personnel will be quick to criticise new players when they don't "get going right away". Amorim is protecting his players from the very people who crucify players.

    – I think there is nothing wrong with Amorim's personality or the way he shows emotion. The job is difficult. The club has had 9 managers in 12 years without winning the league once – that is a stat that people tend to forget when they criticise.

  3. if a loss against Arsenal is considered a win, then this win against Burnley should have been considered a LOSS. Don’t be fooled by the scoreline, this was a mid performance at best, saved by a last minute shirt pull.
