  1. Watching the bucs games closely, Bowles blitzes were still working extremely well, there was just always somebody not doing their job on the back end so the free blitzer couldn't make it in time

  2. "It was surprising they filed Morris If he beats the Jets, he makes the playoffs." — And why doesn't he beat the Jets with that roster and win a bad division?

  3. Non-Ravens fans might not get this, but it's not about 1 or 2 unlucky plays. Harbaugh teams have consistently been unprepared and undisciplined in the playoffs since he lost Ray and Ed. They commit way too many turnovers and penalties and don't force turnovers from the other team. They just generally get out-coached, especially by Andy Reid who very clearly has Harbaugh's number

  4. Matt Nagy had David Montgomery and the ball on the 1 yard line and passed it, UNSUCCESSFULLY, FOUR TIMES IN A ROW! That is an immediate disqualification from a promotion ever again. He should only ever get demoted from now until he retires as the towel guy.

  5. this notion that the raiders have “no talent” is puzzling to me. they have no defense talent outside of crosby. but the offense has pieces to work with, it’s just half of them were hurt most of the season. id argue that Kolton Miller, JPJ, ashton Jeanty, Brock Bowers are building blocks for the offense. with bech, as well as grant and caleb rogers flashing on the OL in the final 2-3 games of the season once pete finally got out of the way. I don’t think it would be insanely far fetched for the raiders to be a middle of the pack to decent offense rather quickly

  6. Really great show today. I know the MO is "nobody knows who will be good HCs", but the combination of insight and non-shouty pragmatism made for really interesting team building conversations 👏

  7. The Andrew Berry defense just makes no sense to me.

He got there in 2020 with a already established OLine (outside of LT and RT). He whiffed on LT, got a solid but injury prone RT. Outside of that his hits have been what? Quinshon Judkins, Amari Cooper, Carson Schwesinger, Grant Delpit, 4 to maybe 6 good players acquired in 6 years? C’mon.

  8. Andy Reid has had success on two teams with 4 different qbs. McNabb (playoffs, conf champion games, sb appearance) & Vick (playoffs, Vick’s best season) in Philly. Alex Smith (repeated playoffs) & Mahomes (2nd to Brady all time?).
So I would take him over Sean Payton every day of the week.

  9. Creating an environment for Lamar to succeed? Sure, that maybe, maybe accounts for 10% of Lamar’s production in the NFL. The other 90% IS LAMAR HIMSELF! Use him! Build something! Instead of treading along for 18 f years like it is everyone’s else’s fault.
It was the right decision, and maybe even too late to save the talents on this team and go on and win not just one but two SB.

  10. Ok last point here, as I’m railing against Sam. Head coaches need to step the f up. I see too many coaches who are just faces. Who are just corporate. Who I don’t understand they ever became coaches let alone NFL head coaches.
So play on your side of equality of the game. Everyone wants to win and we’re just watching the margins play out.
I don’t believe that. In fact, I reject that.
Head coaches need to start respecting the guys who play for them. They need to start respecting To Win. It is a mentality. Whenever I see and hear head coaches of the NFL, I don’t hear this. I hear bs, I hear safe corporate media trained monkey words. When I watch Hard Knocks, I hear the same f thing.
Head coaches destroy football players and teams in the NFL. Something is rotten in this system.

  11. Sam, KPI? Complete relativity in terms of outcome of performance? You should know the head coach is such a key role in a sports organization that you can’t apply that type of thinking to. And I know you will answer, but you have to measure it somehow, how do you determine if a head coach is good or not. And I get it.
But we 18 years. We have all the wasted years of Lamar. We have the years with Lamar and Henry. Wether or not a kicker missed a field goal is not the point.

  12. For the Raiders you literally spent like 5 seconds acknowledging the fact that they had the #1 pick, and didnt even mention that they havd over 100 million in cap space, or, that they zero income tax, and the best facilities in the league, and Bowers, and Crosby, and Jeanty….

    I mean, come on guys…

  13. It’s not about the kick. It’s about finding yourself in these situations week after week despite you having an elite team year after year. Why aren’t you beating these other teams? Why aren’t you dominating? That’s the problem. That’s why I think the decision is right and probably one or two years late to give Lamar and the King a greater chance at winning the ring. Give em that ring.

  14. To your point on the Browns: Wasn't it at the beginning of the 2024 season that the "experts" thought that the Super Bowl would be the Browns vs. the Lions? As stated, 2-time head coach, possible SB contender…. There were some very good things happening with Stefanski/Berry handling things. Also, some very sour outcomes. Someone had to take the fall. Similar to Harbaugh, but much harsher. That firing would never have happened with the Ravens if the FG was made, and without a doubt if the Ravens had won at least one postseason game. Sad. Ultimate revenge… Harbaugh becomes HC of the Browns and takes them to the playoffs, and the Ravens miss. Almost like Belichick coaching the Browns (with that amazing staff) and Modell moving them to Baltimore. The revenge would be sweet. Grew up in NE Ohio, back when Jim Brown was retiring, Leroy Kelly took over… the good ol' days. Lifelong Browns fan (like you couldn't tell lol)

  15. I cannot even imagine screwing up so badly that I cost my company nearly a quarter of a billion dollars and damaging their chances of financial success for years to come, and then learing that the general consensus was that I was still employable. really?

  16. Look, I don’t want to shit on Harbaugh—I think he’s a great coach—but I do struggle to answer the question of what he brings to the table. Stability? He inherited a team with Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Marshal Yanda, Terrell Suggs and Bart Scott not to mention one of the greatest GM's of all time in Ozzie Newsom. The stability and foundation was already there before he entered the building. I do give him credit for kickstarting and fully entrusting Lamar Jackson with bringing in Greg Roman and building everything around him but there has been no new evolution and the team is anything but stable now. He's not a great offensive mind, he's not a great defensive mind. I think it was time to move on.

  17. Just going to put it out there that Mike Macdonald left 2 years ago. The Ravens' defense is ranked #17 in DVOA, while Seattle's defense is ranked #1. Maybe that made a difference? Maybe MM needs to be the coach of the year?

  18. It is so funny that everyone says if Tomlin was fired who would replace him. Yet Harbaugh gets fired who has a better playoff record and was handicapped by Lamar Jackson, and thats the right thing to do. CRAZY

  19. I'm so tired of hearing the empty-headed refrain that Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen are great QBs. They're not. They're great athletes. There's a big difference. When push comes to shove and in the biggest moments, their noticeable deficiencies show up. They both have a marked tendency to play hero ball because they're both subpar in terms of football IQ, slow to recognize both opportunities and threats, and quick to rely on their physical superiority to "win," which works for a while, but not once you're facing a great team on the other side. If you look at the number of open receivers that Allen fails to see, it's no wonder that Stefon Diggs left Buffalo screaming at Allen.

Physical superiority is the first thing to go on an athlete. It's no surprise that both Jackson and Allen are now facing continual nagging injuries. Expect that trend to continue and expect that advantage to diminish fairly quickly moving forward.

You know who didn't rely on their physical superiority? Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. They couldn't. Instead, they had to become great in order to win.

  20. 1:03:35 how is it you can be label Kevin a fall guy while also admitting he didn’t maximize the talent? Keep in mind he was provided the best draft in 2025. The run game has been bad since 2023 despite multiple OL coaches. Special Teams has consistently been a joke under his tenure. The best coordinator in his tenure was a Berry hire! At the end of the day the largest factor in the record for the Browns the past two years was the offense. Now you can try to blame all of that on the players but ultimately Kevin Stefanski was supposed to provide a floor. Even if they were the 23rd best offense in the league he could’ve kept his job. This team was designed to be anchored by the defense. He couldn’t pull that off, he was part of the problem. Period.

  21. One of the things that rarely got mentioned about the ravens is that their long time o line coach died 2 seasons ago. They’ve been one of the best teams at developing mid round o linemen. And we know that’s one of the most important position coaches for player development. Their o line hasn’t been the same since then

  22. You guys are going to have a very low low ceiling of subs as long as you keep that horrible baldy on l, with his worse than bad context and takes
