  1. clearly slaps the ball away before hand contact on the attacker (claiming it was a brace hold from jumping for a fail header attempt) he has full visual of the ball flying towards ; clear and obvious BS call content creators and ref…. you see ball swat away then claim no foul?
    check that

  2. In regards to The Crew, we and debate and argue about who messed up what, who wasnt paying attention, roster rules, exceptions, possible mls favorites, international yadda yadd yadda… i hope you get my point.

I opt instead to point out the fact that Seatle had almost an hour playing against 9.5 men (.5 due to Zawadski doing the job of two positions) and no true goalkeeper AND THEY ONLY MANAGED 4 GOALS?! 😂😂😂😂

The Crew put up 4 goals against well, a few very good teams this year and those teams were at full strength.

Anyway…. Sean Zawadski is the ultimate Team Swiss Army Knife. Despite having 4 goals against him, this kid has all of my respect and admiration. Nancy should start him as a striker just once so he can say hes truly played every position. That kid deserves to be noticed and talked about. You cant tell me that as a coach/manager your stress would be just a little lower knowing you had a guy that could do (almost) anything anywhere you place him on the pitch.

  3. I think the reffing in MLS is horrible. Very inconsistent game to game. And also can’t stand the Apple TV camera work. It’s unreal the difference in camera work vs watching a premier league game. That’s a different topic of course

  4. I'm from St. Louis and I agreed with both calls. The one on Heibert I could see going either way and wouldn't be upset if it had been called a penalty. It just worked out in our favor that time.

  5. Thank you Andrew. I know the major controversy (as far as Columbus is concerned) is the no backup goalie issue, but I have seen quite a few of their fans trying to say it wasn't a red card. Nice to feel some vindication that the ref made the right call.

  6. When you have rules, like the current handball rules, that rely on vague definitions around 'intent' and 'natural positions,' the league should really have to take a step back now and then to see if the rule is 'working.' As it currently stands, players, coaches, fans, commentators, and refs can't agree on what is and isn't a handball – just look at how often a VAR recommends a review around a handball but the head ref disagrees. The way the current rules are written just isn't working.

Of course you would expect players, coaches, and fans to always have biased opinions favoring their own teams. However, even when I watch games where I'm completely indifferent to either team, I still have no idea how a ref is going to call handballs. Literally nothing surprises me at this point.

  7. That handball was so "clear and obvious". Did the ball hit the player's hand? Yes. Was his hand outstretched from his body? Yes. Despite what Wiebe's opinion is, his arm was away from his body and his hand made is body bigger. This should have been a PK.
