  1. I have watched a couple of games from the 80s and 90s recently and I think Graeme is wrong saying they were more entertaining back then. They were alot slower and the quality wasnt as good and thank God the back pass rule was changed. I'm sure there were some very entertaining games but there are plenty nowadays. One of the games was milan beating real Madrid 5 nil and was supposedly one of their best performances but bar the goals it was not a great performance or match in general really

  2. Not sure why there's so much debate over this. The obvious answer is that VAR can on correct a decision if there's a ball's width between the lines it shows. It'd remove all the grey areas. Refs shouldn't go to them all the time and the automatic VAR things can only be used IF a ref has missed something – and again if it's missed and it's inches, then it's missed – BUT if it's missed and there's a ball's-width in the decision, then the ref is overturned.

  3. The television viewing public want to see entertainment and goals, the fans who follow their team want to see their team win and get 3 points regardless of how they play.

  4. I always thought Souness saying "Zaha could play for Real Madrid/Barcelona" was the the most stupid thing he would ever say. 100 seconds in this video and that has changed😂😂😂😂😂😂

  5. Speaking of offside rules, it could be interesting to introduce an offside line. Instead of using the halfway line, an extra line, let's say 35 metres from the goal line, would probably open the game up again. The surface between the two offside lines could also be used to sanction intentional 'tactical fouls'. Any fouls of a tactical nature committed in that surface should be automatically yellow carded, and the third yellow card by the same team for the same offence should be met with a straight red card. Taking one for the team would take on a whole new meaning.

  6. At first I was gonna make some classic Pogba jokes but seriously this is was a really nice interview to watch. In fact I really liked when they talked about personal stuff instead of football and the part where Graeme keeps getting interrupted are pure gold

  7. I think instead of taking 1 player from each team to open up the play, what about if you could kick the ball out of play (only down the wings) as along as it curls back onto the pitch before it touches the ground or before it's touched by a player….that would force teams much wider which would open up the play. It would also bring the crowd closer to the game.

  8. Why does he want 9 outfield players? He just said it himself the Premier League is as exciting as it's ever been, there are more goals now and than we literally couldn't compare all time great XI's with today's X's and the main thing besides all that is you're taking jobs away from people… Absolutely no need for that change

  9. Changing the offside rule wouldn't make any difference to controversial calls. Would still need the 'dots' to determine if they're just onside or not.

I think the only way to change it is, if you need to use the 'dots' to determine one way or another. They're given onside. If it's obvious that they're offside without the need for mm's of precision, then give it offside.

Then if any official or VAR referee thinks, 'mmm not sure' you just give it as onside.

  10. Pogba is a great player who was great at Juventus and great for France, but not the same consistency of quality for Man U. Numerous average performances with some terrible performances. Not sure why everyone is defending him from well deserved criticism.

  11. Souness: Firstly, surely Pogba should be doing more about this Lockdown situation. It's ridiculous that he's just self isolating without finding a solution. He's an absolute disgrace of a player

Keane: Arr ya havin a laff?
