Germany dominated like every single stat. Saying Ivory Coast were better is objectively wrong. And I know that stats can be musleading but not when every single stat is in one teams favor.
These people don t bother to consider that people have different attitudes. In Germany we don t expect us to win it. We want them to do well. We support them. But we don t expect things from them that are not realistic. We didn t expect them to win in 2014 either.
I agree with your guests opinion about Germany. Hope our team will improve else it'll be difficult in the knockout rounds. I also think your.take on Ivory was a bit harsh. They reminded me of Algeria in 2014. Maybe they put in a bit too much in the first half and got tired in the second. Their performance was good and they still can make it as 2nd placed.😊
As a German from Stuttgart (Hallo Undav & Leweling 👋) I can confirm we do not expect our team to bring it home. We are realistic. There are a couple of teams which are currently way better than us. Nonetheless we enjoy gathering together, having fun watching some entertaining matches and having a good time at the end of the day 😇
Grella if USA had a team of the level of ivory coast in their group they would not been finish first.
