It is foolish to take any team in Copa America lightly. The USMNT will need to play at a consistently high level just to make it out of the group
Ajax
It would be interesting to see him at a top MLS team for a while to get consistent play time and make an impact
Perhaps he should play better if he wants playing time. Mommy and daddy can’t do everything for you.
Bro at this point, Reyna is going to be the biggest waste of time for US fans. So many “what ifs” for him and he’s progressed upward since that one final against Mexico where he dribbled passed the entire team. Its the same thing over and over with his minutes and him being injured and all that.
I think its an entitlement thing. His dad is a US legend in his own right and to be raised in that definitely put some ego into him, naturally. He’s not humble at all, even in interviews. And with the Reyna family seemingly having US Soccer held by the balls, it’s like Gio is never gonna discipline himself to be the best that we expected him to be. I hate to say it but I think its true and its hard as a USMNT fan since we all though Gio had the biggest ceiling, surpassing even Pulisic but he hasn’t even hit that level at all.
Pulisic at 21 was already signed for Chelsea and now he’s with AC Milan. He held and accepted his responsibility as being the golden boy in US fans eyes and showed his fight in Europe. Gio, i cant see it at all. Talented guy but I havent seen it yet. And after what happened with the World Cup, its like at this point it seems Gio has already hit his prime and it not getting better from here. I really hope im wrong and hes still very young. We’ll see
How can he play more? Maybe complaint less?
Bvb needs the depth so id love him to stay but at this point, regardless of injury, he isn't getting play time. I mean sabitzer, julian brandt, nmecha, reus, jbg, Jason sancho, wolf etc. He isn't gonna find a place. He's a great super sub, I hear nothing but compliments when he comes in. But no real starts and only as a sub that's not gonna help him get better. And he's not event he only young person on the team terzic is using. Moukoko isn't getting minutes either. Not even over adeyemi who while has some grants sparks of brilliance this season has been completely out of form.
Why Jorge mendes, he should’ve went to United for a loan switch with Sancho
If he thats good, go to MLS dominate for a year or two and go back to Europe. He's still young.
Playing Brazil is opportunity to test the tiny little hearts that make up pay-to-play/college-boy U.S. soccer culture.
Too many people want to make the team and look like a good player without being a real player. The teams are the same way multiplied by leagues and certificates.
Maybe Gio Was too busy crying and not focusing on playing football
