No mention of Vialli?
People and pundits forget that Gianfranco Zola was 30 years old when he joined us Chelsea in 1996 for 1996/97 Premier League season when Zola left Chelsea in 2003 he was 37 years old. He Zola scored so many world class goals in his 30s for us. At Chelsea he scored 80 goals in all competitions for us Chelsea in total in his Chelsea career. He Zola was world-class dribbler could change direction with ball and was fast quick still as 30 year old player. Zola was a direct free kick specialist he scored lots of free kicks just outside the D of penalty box. Zola was a creative playmaker too in attacking midfield role position he had great vision created lots of goals. In 1990s Zola Won lots of trophies he won 2 FA Cups, won the EFL Cup / League Cup, won the Uefa 2nd tier Cup Winners Cup in 1997/98 season Zola scored winner against Stuttgart in the Final the Competition ran for 39 seasons also he won Uefa Super Cup all won while Zola was at Chelsea. For me Gianfranco Zola is an All-Time Chelsea Great he has to be in Chelsea's Greatest Of All Time Starting XI Lineup.
Zola and Aprilla at Parma were s formidable combination and a joy to watch.
4 Chelsea players lol…Just to have bigger audience and please the English and Sky Sports? Zola is very nice and humble and maybe wanted to please everybody. His eleven is very good all great players but leaving Canavarro (Napoli/Parma), Stoichkov (Parma), Thomas Brolin (Parma)….and maybe others like Alemão (Napoli), Laurent Blanc (Napoli), Jonas Thern (Napoli)…well c'mon…I will give to him credit for not picking Gullit and other old guys at Chelsea because they were beyond their prime…
the amount of world class players from 96 – 2002 peak years of football in my opinion.
Zola Absolute genius true legend and always seems a really genuine great guy .
Such a gentleman. Immense player
Derby fan, back in the late 90s under Jim Smith we had a half decent side….. Chelsea came to Pride Park and smashed us, Zola that day was just sheer class! He's the best player I've ever seen in the flesh, his movement off the ball was unbelievable!!! 👏👏
Baggio and maradona! CRAZY
That team is almost perfect…. until you see Dennis Wise is sitting in the middle! 😂
A rich 11 he’s played with right there!
I must admit, I am surprised to see Di Matteo and Careca in there.
Wise too.
Good old Dennis, his heart was in the right place and he was Chelsea's engine, when Zola played and along with Terry, was "Mr Chelsea", but playing wise, I would have put Makélélé there.
Zola was 30 when he went to Chelsea and still balled out! Top player 👌
Love the little guy 💙 fantastic player
Forget how amazing he was we all know that but what a beautiful person, you can’t not like him
Absolute player back in the day. So happy I got to witness the best era of prem football
That team is insane, wise and di Matteo a stretch tho 🤣🤣🤣 legendary magician
Dennis wise😂😂😂😂cmon zola ffs stop acting the bollox
One main reasons starting supporting mighty blues awesome player 👊👊👊
Great player and what a gentleman
Such a great player. Not a Chelsea fan but I'd watch their games just to watch Zola playing.
Zola or Hazard ?
I remember the golden years of Serie A, when it was without a doubt the best league in World football! The top scorers was always Signori of Lazio, but Zola would always be on that list somewhere in the top 5 or 10!
This league I believe was very special, because football today has changed and I don't care what anybody thinks, those players in Zola's era were technically superior to anything since.
Talking about players like Maradonna, Van Basten, Gullit, Hagi. Zola, Batistuta, Matthaus, Bergkamp, Baggio, Romario etc etc (althou Romario wasn't in Serie A, I have to mention him to emphasise what a great player he was during that era, arguably the best player even for me)
What a player to grow up with and see in the Premier League. We had footballers back then now its athletes
Jamie watched a lot of Channel 4 growing up.
Baresi only had 12 caps when he was 26
I miss the Premier League of the 90's and World football. So many class players. It's a shame what's happened to the game. it's so boring now.
That Napoli team had the Argentinian Caniggia too right?
Dennis Wise 😂😂
8:15 did Jamie realise that it was Zola that got sent off or did that go over his head???
