  1. I think Virgil needs to shoulder some responsibility for bad defending himself. He's answering very articulately and kind of shifting everything onto "The process and transition" but he's been poor in many games himself and made a lot of errors and caught napping etc. Yeah he's the captain and he's a legend but he's not above criticism and should put his hands up rather than point to others everytime.

  2. Well he's been underwhelming and konate and slots decision to drop robertson repetitively has massively affected liverpools season. Not getting a RB in January or the summer and not getting a CB. Not having someone to rotate gapko with. It's a poor team and places aren't challenged.

  3. He is right about pundits Neville is one of them, talksport the same.they spin a narrative and go with it.when Neville or carragher say things in the studio it's quite strange its nearly telling manager what to do or players.and there words especially in sky sports are so powerful it's very odd

  4. Pay me a footballers wage and I'll take all the grief imaginable. Whilst I live in my mansion in the middle of no where with all the mod cons. Women on tap and H and C when I want!! Portugal BTW… I'd die a happy man!

  5. 😂 finally, the media darlings for the last decade getting criticism and they can’t take it! Look at Maguire for years, the memes, the humiliation! He’s lucky he still gets the benefit of the doubt and it’s nothing like that. Cry cry

  6. A classy gentleman as always. He’s got me, I’d run through a wall for him. From Shankly to Klopp, Virgil used all the key LFC words. Privilege, responsibility, intensity and inspirational. A natural leader in life. I’m sure his motivational personality will flourish in a new career. Whether it be coaching or the mayor of Liverpool, he’ll win people over to do his ideas. 😎

  7. Trent! Massive loss! Manager doesn't want to play the Vice Captain. When you win the league, you're scrutinised more than any other. Dismayed the long throw is an issue, back in the day we had the master of the long throw.

  8. What I got from this interview is the Liverpool way has gone the league title should be the number one goal every season seems the new age of players look at the champions league as the number one trophy to win also he’s wrong in the social media we had tv in the 70’s and 80’s with ex pros giving thier views on players and teams yes it maybe be a bit more wide spread aliens eh world with social media but it’s basically still the same viewpoints from ex pros what is the biggest difference now is players alienating them ages form fans on the street lie they are gods maybe if they mixed with people on the street like old players used to them they would be able to take a bit of stick for being way below par and saying it’s hard to retain the tile like it’s ok to surrender it so easy is shocking players like John Barnes Robbie flower Dalglish etc top top top players pure legends of the game you woud see them about town from time to time not these current players maybe that make a a difference in being able to take some stick now and then as your feet are still firmly on the ground an not in the clouds and at 30 plus that makes a huge difference when your playing against 25 to 28 year olds legs arnt the same any more

  9. I’m sorry, Virg! But we need a fighting cap! Someone that wants to win! You have won it all! For this new team, we need a captain that’s wants to win, not find problems!

  10. Good interview, just wondering from that… maybe he and the team have lost a-bit of hunger and desire. They like talking about it being a “process” this season. Love VVD and let’s pray for more glory. YNWA

  11. I dont see any of the arsenal players giving interviews on sky. Vvd has lost the spark and hunger. Slothball will lead to 0 trophies for liverpool this season.

  12. Obvious not a natural click there 🤣 Tbh it is pretty hopeless to do these interviews, you got to stay middle of the road or somewhere it will be put out of context.
Lets hope VVD has good people around him and hangs on to his money and does not have to go for a second career as a pundit.

  13. Klopp made us believers .
    Slot made us doubters.
Last season success was for Klopp. This season is the litmus for Slot…… Klopp should be given a permanent job as a motivator to the players before every game. He is very talented in making the players give their all in the field……
