The worst coach of the tournament. He should have never started Kane and Foden. Palmer was born to be a starter. Starting Shaw was a great thing. England needs a new coach that is willing to try new players.
Very sad day for England. Once again, came close but couldn’t get it done. I don’t see this squad as a threat in the 2026 World Cup or 2028 Euros. They need a new manager, a different style of play that is attack minded, and they have to build around the young players on the bench. Guys like Harry Kane and Kyle Walker have given their years of service to the national team but they are looking beat and past their primes. England should put more effort to give minutes and help build up Mainoo, Palmer, Toney, and Watkins.
