  1. TO THOSE STIIL BOOING CITY PLEASE READ :
Preventing the resumption of play is a slightly different form of time-wasting but also punishable with a yellow card.

The most common form is kicking the ball away and, after midfielder Rice was sent off for a second yellow card against Brighton on 31 August, Arsenal were stung again when Trossard was dismissed for a second yellow for booting the ball away following a foul on Bernardo Silva.

While kicking the ball away is the clearest form of preventing play from resuming, players can also be booked for blocking play.

As City chased a late equaliser, Brazil striker Jesus was booked in the 96th minute when he stopped Portugal midfielder Silva from taking a short corner.

Arsenal have now received six yellow cards – four yellows and two second yellows – for this type of offence, two more than any other Premier League club….

  2. City are the masters at breaking down teams and that's 11v11. So they want 10 man Arsenal who were 2-1 up by half time to play attacking football and give city a chance to play balls in behind and break is down? We did what we needed to do to take something away from City at the Etihad playing a full half plus 8 added mins with 10 men.

  3. Cant wait to see Keane and His Beloved United with all 11 players go to City and attack, it seems it will be so easy, hope to see United outplay City and all the World class defenders keeping Haaland quiet

  4. For years, clubs like Stoke, Burnley, Birmingham bullied our players, broke our player's legs & we were termed as soft & told to man up.

Today we have become physical, everyone is crying.

On top of it rivals and pundits call our team and fans annoying for pointing the bias out

  5. That free kick is only an issue because it results in a goal. Usually players are removed from the field and the game continues. Kyle walker was already on the pitch, why delay then. The goal was very ok

  6. Theo is not qualified to be pundit on a game of this level. He offers little or nothing. I understand commercial idea of having Merson too (ex Arsenal and funny) but surely he is under the influence based on how he talks? But a good show otherwise. Well done Sky

  7. Paul Merson talks so much nonsense itโ€™s unreal

โ€œAnyone can put it on a sixpenceโ€ – they canโ€™t. Half of them canโ€™t even beat the first man most games ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

โ€œPlayers donโ€™t want to attack the near postโ€ I can think of numerous examples like Drogba vs Munich ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  8. Arsenal have hopefully given other teams in the league an idea how to play against Man City….it ain't pretty for sure but it is quite effective. Screw the naysayers, regardless of the result, Arsenal are no longer lightweight getting out muscled, there is a strength and belief. Of course the trophy cabinet door needs to open at some point but cometh the hour, cometh the team…..and when our depleted team has no injuries….watch out !!!!

The foundation of this team is based on a huge aspect of football, just like Arsenal of old…. "defending" and long may it continue
