Since this World Cup has been a cheating mess England and France should just take the mick and score 50 goals each using only goals keepers so one of the can win the golden boot doesn’t matter which, FIFA takes takes the piss so England and France should.
You can't have ball possession when the manager bungs on more and more defenders and ask them to sit in the penalty area! Taking off the most creative attacking player in Gordon five mins after the goal was madness. We rode our luck in the Aztecca, great effort by the players but it was the wrong tactics… and was never gonna work for over twice as long against a much better team and one of the best players the game has ever produced. We need an English manager who realises how England play.
Why is the prospect of England ever winning the World Cup constantly being referred to as 'coming home?
England is no more home for the World Cup than any other country
It's not about what England did or didn't do. It's about a better team, winning which they would have done no matter what.

England fan here: I am not even remotely buzzed about this game. Yes, it would be nice to win and come third surpassing our 2018 result, but honestly, as long as we don't get battered, I'd be happy with any other result. For both sets of fans, I'd like to see both teams continually attack eachother. No dirty tricks, no play acting. Just a nice free flowing game that is 90 minutes of end to end action.

A systemic problem doesn’t usually produce two Euros finals, a World Cup semi-final and another World Cup semi-final in four major tournaments.
It was one thing to press when the game was young and the score was level. Argentina had lots of time and were probing here and there without any urgency. But when England took the lead, Argentina became more serious and as time was winding down, more desperate. There's no appreciation that Argentina are a dangerous side. I saw one stat that said they scored 82% of their goals in the knockout round after the 79th minute. I fully understand Tuchel trusting the English players to defend their lead, especially when their defenders had a significant height advantage over the Argentinian frontline. That should have stemmed the flow of crosses successfully entering the box. But that assumes the defenders remember to jump. I still don't get how a much smaller player was about to head the ball in for the winning goal. But no one talks about that. They'd much rather blame the designated scapegoat. That decision was baked into the system from day one. So long as England don't acknowledge all of the facts, I think they will continue to experience disappointing results in the future.
Opportunity to try a little something with an elite opponent? Why not, if it can help move the team forward in future competitions. The players would have to buy into the idea first. Who knows, maybe England discover they CAN actually play that way, and even play well. Or maybe not. Maybe they're just too dependant on camera cables and VAR to win matches

He had rashford ready on the sideline to go onto the field, then gordon scored on that play. He say Rashford back down and then he went full defensive instead.
That to me says it was 100% his call to go defensive and tell his players to sit back.
English players have already said they should have kept going, watch Guehi's interview after the game and he says it, you can see it in his eyes and hear it in his tone how frustrated he is about it.
I think Tuchel might have just made the worst managerial decision in a world cup possibly in history….
