The reigning World Cup champions France go into thier second group match against Denmark. France’s urgency to score intesified in the second half. Kylian Mbappé struck the back of the net in the 61st minute. Denmark evened the score up after landing a goal in the 68th by Andreas Christensen. Mbappé wasn’t done there as he scored another goal in 86′. France would go on to win 2-1.

Denmark disappointed me so much this World Cup. I was looking forward to seeing what they could do against Argentina (their likely round of 16 opponent) but they didn’t even make it out of the group. It was in this match when I first had my doubts about them; they were very lucky not to lose by more than 1 goal.
