  1. It’s as simple as this – Liverpool are quite one dimensional in the way they play, they have been for the whole of klopp’s tenure. Only now have other prem teams clocked on to the fact that they need to play it forward quickly between the lines when they counter as they play so high. In the early days teams would always sit back and try to defend which just playing into the hands of Liverpool. Summary, teams have sussed out Liverpool’s weakness and exploiting it better and Liverpool haven’t changed and evolved

  2. I'd love to know what aspects of Saudi Arabia's human rights record fit into Martin's 'liberal society'. That being said the human rights element to me is a massive red herring. Newcastle/Liv golf etc is all about oil. Embedding Saudi oil money within western sporting culture to try to counteract the shift to net zero, which is a threat to their long term wealth.

  3. "That's not heavy metal music, that's like bass guitar"

Gary Neville showing he knows nothing about music, heavy metal or otherwise, in that one brief sentence.

  4. Watching Gary very closely in Qatar. He better be as steadfast in his condemnation when he’s there working for bein, which I somehow doubt. My respect for Gary is on thin ice.

  5. Gary is wrong we’re not even at our best yet. There’s still another level for Arsenal to go. Both Tottenham and Spurs Arsenal were only at their best in the second half.

  6. Leicester winning the league should be the best example of why Super League is not right. If super league happens, fairytale story won’t happen again and it means the shut down of many many people dream

  7. What did people expect ? This team expended insane energy over the past few seasons, including their 2020-21 Premier League Title defense where they had to go on a stupendous run towards the end to accumilate enough points to secure 4th. The following season the reds finished just a point off eventual champions Man City. Klopps team have been remarkable in the last couple of seasons including the ones leading up to their 2020 EPL triumph. The club couldn't afford to go out and always get the worlds most sought after players like City had the luxury of doing so they went about their transfer business in a more smart way and Klopp built great sides down the years. Now the problem seems to me what some people have been pointing out which is certain players are aging and others are simply a shadow of their former selves. The team is still decent and maybe we're all reading too much into their poor start. Saying the team has declined is a bit premature but come end of the season plaudits and pundits alike will certainly have a better picture of where this team is. Defo need to bring in two or three new faces into the team though imo.

  8. It has taken a long time to move from doubters to believers…I will take as long as it takes to lose the belief Jurgen has instilled in this club and the fanbase. Probably a relegation will make me lose it. But I know it ain't gonna happen.

Love you, boss and carry on. I have seen enough where the coach loses the dressing room. This ain't it.
We are unbalanced with no respite. I am okay with surviving this season to come back with a bang next season. YNWA reds!

P.s. Gary is spot on here on the state of the current team. And I say that with a little bit of pain as well.
    😉

  9. I think some of the players need to be moved on. I thought Mane should have been kept becauee he was the heart and soul of that team that started it all. If you are gonna play as a slow team, then your defensive shape and tactics also need to change to more of a mid block stance rather than pressing but with no energy.
Not to mention they were so close last season by playing every single game in the top flight English calendar possibe, it did take a lot out of them and now they have to go again very soon because of the World Cup being in November

  10. So many Arsenal fans commenting with a huge victim complex…Imagine believing Gary prefers complimenting City/Liverpool over Arsenal, who he has said multiple times he likes as a club and has given valid reasons why he doesn't fully believe in them yet.
