Rules expert Christina Unkel breaks down the new blue card that is set to be trialed in football.

Sounds silly, it'll just make play easier for scoring and disrupt momentum during play and some of it can be thrown under the yellow, its pointless 🤷

Her defending this like it is gospel 😂😂😂. How about just enforce the rules we have??? Refs start giving out yellow and reds for dissent, it will stop. Don’t see it as a problem in other sports. Just football because they allow it.
Apart from it being a daft idea, they didn’t even get the color right, should have been orange card (between yellow & red).
This explanation doesn’t help. Five mins left in the game and a player gets a card; do they immediately get 5 mins on the side in their next fixture? This is just stupid and pointless. Fix the referees and how they interpret the laws first

I don’t care what Henry says he’s a cheater of the sport and played for a corrupt Barcelona team in 09-10. As a fan of the beautiful sport, he shouldn’t be allowed to preach to the audience. 🤷🏻♂️

Terrible idea
Stop trying to fix something that isn't broken. Football is a game of momentum. What's wrong with just throwing them a yellow for tactical fouls and getting back to the game. All this blue card does is create more reasons to stop play and debate calls which just kills more momentum. Not to mention the weird power play dynamic of one team having a number advantage for 10 minutes at a time. Not at all what football is suppose to be. Terrible idea. If I wanted to watch a sport that's stops play every 10 seconds to debate calls I'd watch NFL.

I kind of got one in college…the ref didn't give me a card but sent me off for 2 mins for telling him his call was shite. He sent me off for cussing at Oral Robert's, where we were playing, a super religious school…
