  1. Italy can’t even make the World Cup anymore lol they have missed 3 of the last 4 tournaments, he did just fine and should be very proud of his career and what he did for Toronto FC and MLS as a whole, someone we will never forget

  2. if you got the chance to move to a crap league and become the highest paid player and be the best player in that league anyone would take that

  3. Not going to definetiely state that he was good enough to join the team, because that is always subjective, but saying that he might have made a big difference if he stayed in europe rather than he could have made a big difference if the coaches had included him is erroneous framing.

  4. The guy made a smart move. He still earned well, had a more peaceful life, and surely learned English which is going to open many doors after retirement as a player, if he desires to do more in football later in life.

  5. You could argue he should have stayed in Parma, but he should have no regrets.

That doesn’t mean he would’ve helped the national team though. I don’t think anything would have been different for them regardless.

  6. Well that's the football for you
    The competition is fierce
It's not like the NBA or American football were playing is gated by paywalls and wich college you were going too
But the competition is world wide every country produces talent that migrate to you Europe to paly from Africa , aisa , south America, Europe that's more then 3 billion pool
And in football it's not about just physic or athlétisme it's about mentality and football IQ it's either you have it or not
An example of this like MO Salah sadio Mani, messi ,Christiano they literally clawed there way up from firece firece competition
