The direction of the club is to sell Sterling and buy young unproven players that'll take <100k/wk…our club direction is to operate like Brighton…a mid-table club
Sterling had an amazing couple of seasons for us, but the last 2 years his work rate and consistency were woeful. He's yet to show an improvement at Chelsea, think he's reached his peak as an above average player.
Sterling is seriously good. He isn't underrated he's just English and black so that makes him a double target from absolute idiots who are influenced easily by people like Mark Goldbridge who always go on about "overrated" English players.
Could not believe he was just 27 when he joined man City. He seems to around for ages. He was dead on his feet v Italy in the final. Not his fault Southgate refused to change his squad, would not sub a below par kane. If gevus used well and pepper will, he will be the best take note Gareth from one of the best managers in the world.
He definitely became a better player over the years as he played for City & Pep. I think he was at his best IMO 2017-2019. He paired really well with Aguero, Jesus, Sane etc. Raz obviously has insane pace and is good at creating space for himself to work against his defender, his pace allows for him to press the opposing team deep in their own territory. He’s versatile enough he can play comfortably anywhere across the front 3 & a fairly high game IQ along with Citys other attacking players sees them create many mismatches, by not having the defender switch over to his new mark and being through on goal, take his defender out wide to create space for someone to cut in, or just flat out blister you with speed. Sterlings finishing has certainly improved since he came in 2015 but there are still times he will miss an absolute sitter and you just can’t figure out how he’s done it. Sad to see you go Raz, 4 Premier Leagues, 4 League Cups, 1 FA Cup, and a CL Final appearance not a bad stint at the club.

He really hasn’t improved THAT much since leaving Liverpool.
Pep’s improved his overall game for sure but let’s not pretend like he’s any more efficient at “hitting the target” in a team that creates 10x the chances.

Overhated and racism. He is one of the best in the world.
He misses goals only…otherwise he is the Goat
He’s still really inefficient, he just gets more chances at City.
Spot on. Was pony and overrated at Liverpool. Been brilliant since 2nd year at city. And for England!
Underated player
🎯
Agree, he left and went to a more clinical manager/coach, there at Manchester City, Sterling learned.
Agreed helped him alot, according to him
Sterling is fast but his finishing is still not the best and his tactical Understanding is low

All I think of when anybody mentions him is his Oscar winning dives. He should have been in platoon with some of them. 😂😂
Sterling is trash. That’s the problem with the BPL… they keep bringing in “fast players” … who have ZERO technique.
That suit is straight out of sopranos 😆
Overhated player, one of the best
Improved technically at City
Tap in merchant
Sterling will always be remembered as a legendary Lyon player. 🐐
