Fabregas Saw It Coming #football #soccer #worldcup #fifaworldcup

Cesc Fabregas explains why switching to a back five while leading can be a huge mistake.

When you sit back, you invite pressure, give the opponent more of the ball, and make yourself more vulnerable to mistakes, penalties, free kicks, and rebounds.

Fabregas says it can work sometimes on the counterattack, but 80-90% of the time it backfires.

And after England vs Argentina, it feels like he saw it coming.

Do you agree with Fabregas? πŸ‘‡

  1. Problem for England is Argentina pushed them back into the penalty box already 8 mins before Tuchel made any subs. Another issue is England goes by have a holding player who can take the ball and soak up pressure. A lot of direct attacking players but not really any who are like a Modric or Xavi or Pedri etc. that’s why at Como he has players who do this. That’s why Spain beat a team life France like they did. They have players who dictate the speed and tempo of the match. Can play with their backs toward the goal or going forward

  2. Agentfifa didn’t even justify getting to the final.
The semi should have been England v Egypt.
The fact Argentina got away with thuggery up to then made them think they could get away acting like that in the final.
An embarrassment to football and the beautiful game.

  3. I saw the same way before 1-1. You take out a wing a middlefield and side defender for 2 fullback defenders and a side one. Is called catenaccio or the cowardice move. Tuchel is an idiot with 3 fresh forward wings and 2 strikers on the bench.

  4. Whilst Tuchel could have not subbed on more defenders to try and hold the lead, I think it's insane how so many people are placing the blame on him alone. From the moment England scored in the 55th minute until the hydration break and then the first sub came on, they were already retreating to a defensive mentality and Argentina already started their offensive bombardment.

Yes Tuchel's subs merely sealed their fate and he could have made offensive substitutions to try and get England back into the game offensively but these group of players seem to have a default mentality in high stakes game to sit back and defend a lead and that was what ultimately led to their defeat.

  5. I said exactly the same to my wife on France- Paraguay match. If you go with the sole intent to defend yourself, then you are inviting disaster, it is a matter of probaliities, the ball will be most of the time near your goal, and most likely the ball will enter your more than the rivals

  7. Tuchel is the biggest idiot there is, in KO football it has always been like this you tell me who wins all the champions leagues? Ars or PSG?? I can't still believe Tuchel did that against Argentina

  8. he made it to the semis playing like that, and argentina push the team forward and england got cornerd, every team plays, if it was so easy every team would try to push forward instead of falling back.

  9. That tactic works with a low class opponent like Mexico or Curacao but not against the current champions with the GOAT of Soccer. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ€πŸ‡¦πŸ‡·βš½πŸπŸ˜ŽπŸ¦…

  10. Yes, but he is used to highly technical midfielders like himself and his Spanish companions, not these sweating box-to-box midfielders who can't hold a ball or defend tight spaces.

  11. Even if you have back five or back ten, the first instinct of a defender or a player who defends in the box is to either block or clear the ball completely or at least to the nearest fellow player for a possible counter attack. But in england's case this didn't happen & mind you this same procedure happened until the argentine's scored their second goal which brings the important question to our mind, why? I believe both the semis were fixed, so that the euro champions & world champions would play the finals by FIFA. France was the most dangerous team of this world cup & teams didn't want to face them & even then France never tried to gain possession from a triangular passing tiki taka spain team, why? Are you all suggesting that a team like France don't know how to bypass a predictable triangular passing team. Are you all trying to prove that both these finalists just scraped through their games against the most dangerous team in cape verde. No disrespect to cape verde, if not for FIFA argenFIFA could've easily been eliminated by cape verde. Already this world cup looked fixed & rigged in favour of a racist zionist country like argenFIFA. Other than argentina, argentine fans & zionists every other football lover knows this world cup is rigged.

  12. Actually…arg were really good from the start..if tuchel didn't go for the defence argentina would have scored more early..but i don't think that argentina would've scored the second if england was not defending. But that's where messi's magic work. if you are not doing the defence he will ofc punish you for sure… that's what we are saying messi got a very good players with champion mentality. Messi is not like other players if you don't go for defend more he will get space and ofc he will score from wherever he wants !! Only thing you could do to defend your score is keeping the possession. That's why the final would be very special..cuz we have seen that spain can keep possession without going for defence and messi is the man who mastered the prime spanish way!!

  13. England you lost you were NEVER gonna beat us so keep it moving.u never understand what we were doing to you, mind game was apart of our game,so stop your crying coz you got check mate😊.
