Nice that Grella mentioned his match against Kettering Town – I was at that match and it is magical seeing your non-league team playing against international stars, especially when they take them the distance. Very happy for Macclesfield, hope they don't stop here
Only clicked this video to celebrate Maccelsfield's win, too much talk about Crystal City post mortem
Sorry little patronising crystal palace train on 4 g pitch all the time so they are used to it no excuses
ts a glorious rejuvenation of the beautiful game each time this happens. Anything is possible if you can just find the magic. Macclesfield players and supporters know this is just a moment in time. But it is an injection of aspiration for the most humble of participants. It makes people believe that anything is possible. Crystal Palace can claim credit for their own brilliance. FA cup winners. A club in the doldrums of football who rose from the ashes of mediocrity and struggle to ascend to the crown. That's no small thing and something Crystal Palace fans should remember – and be proud of. We are all humbled at times. And we all rise to the occasion in others. Relish with your opponent in their moment of glory because it adds to the possibilities for you as well. Such is life. And such is the beautiful game.
To put this into an American perspective, this is like Current Boston Celtics starting 5 getting beating by a highschool basketball team, but the School Teachers and Security guards were playing for the High School team.
Fun fact: One of Macclesfield's players is a PE Teacher at a high school.
Congrats to Maccelsfield, Wrexham had the biggest upset in the FA cup against Arsenal in the early 1990's until today. Absolutely Brilliant! Has anyone watched Macclesfield documentary.
The poorest Palace side all year. Ripe for the picking. Nothing like the Community shield/FA Cup team. Haven't won in 9 games and if they don't get their act together, they will be heading for relegation.
God bless you Troy xxx
That's probably the best audition one could give for the current Man Utd job.
