We see players pulling shirts in matches all the time. Most of them not enough to impede the players movement and therefore ignored by refs. Young took a swan dive to cheat for PK and for once VAR did the right thing.
he dive is irrelevant..two tugs on a shirt is a penalty….anything else is academic..if you dont go down…the ref will ignore the shirt pull…its that simple

Corrupt premier League. The VAR continuously showed only 1 angle when all other angles show it's a penalty. Don't blame ref cos they only show. Either way it's corrupt and always against Everton. Imo people who are faceless are making money from betting. The VAR system is in place for the PL to keep teams down. Corrupt

It was a dive, his shirt also comes away from the body so it was pulled. The only thing for me that would make it no penalty is if the shirt pull was not significant enough to impede him. It didn't look like it impeded him and he clearly dives not because of the shirt pull but because of Maguire's contact. Unlucky for Everton but when you have priors diving to win penalties, it comes back to haunt you
It is more than a simple mistake.
We always were told that the ref is a human being and should decide in real time, so mistakes are there. When a ref made it right, 3 more refs ask him to watch it again, having more time and making a clear mistake, isn't simply acceptable. It is more than a simple mistake. It is a deliberate unfair breaking the fairness. Why?
