I will say that Amorim's career has seen him work with other managers' signings and thrive whether it was short term or long term, which means he's able to adapt. He's also very open to using academy lads with no experience. Based on this, i think there's just about enough at United for him to play his preferred formation. Center back and left wing back would be his biggest issues in that setup but promoting a couple of kids could suffice until there's support in the first summer window.

Onana, De Ligt, Lisandro, Mazraoui and Hojlund are all established players in the first team under long term contracts so they’re going nowhere and the next manager will work with them.
It makes no sense to rebuild from scratch, the next manager will need to get the best out of the current squad and then build on it when it’s possible. You can’t keep rushing a rebuild by throwing money at it and then throwing even more when it doesn’t work. There’s a much better foundation there than there was 5 years ago, the right manager will get the best out of this squad.

If the manager need " their team" to win game then he's probably not a good coach/manager. A great one would just use the players that are already there and get results. Just like Maresca, Arne, Hansi. They just use the existing player and get results/ win.
