England and Senegal faced off in the knockout stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The first half was completely dominated by England as Jordan Henderson scored in the 38th minute and Harry Kane scored his first goal of the World Cup in stoppage time of the first half. It was his 52nd for England and he is now one shy of Wayne Rooney’s all-time record. England’s offense kept clicking in the second half as Bukayo Saka scored in the 57th minute. England would go on to win 3-0.

The refereeing destroys the spirit of the game! 22 mn into the game there was a clear penalty, yet the referee decided to not consult the VAR and asked the Senegalese players who complained to "shut up". Interestingly enough, there is no replay of that action in the highlights. 35th minute within the game Walker wrestled down Ismaila Sarr who ran past him heading to the goal: the foul is given but inexplicably no yellow. England scored their second goal past the allocated game time including added minutes. I can understand winning but it has to be winning in fairness. That was not what the refereeing in this game showed.
