  1. Lucy Bronze is giving the ball away far to often in recent games. Aslo against better opposition when she goes forward as is her want she leaves us badly exposed. At 32 is it time to try someone new ?

  2. That was one of their best games for a while . Like watching last Euro's plenty of aggression ,by Lionesses . I certainly would not have let Greenwood take two penalties . Harry Caine did same thing when he took two except his went into orbit . Nice to see some fresh faces as well.

  3. When the hell will Lucy bronze either retire or step down from international matches? She is a big liability for the defenders who have to cover her. Let the younger generation get some experience

A great win for our โค England Lionesses โค, sadly for the Republic of Ireland Women's team you left it a little to late in the match to try for a come back, your long range throw in's were awesome, but thankfully for us nowt came of it.
A great match. But โค Alex Greenwood โค must be kicking herself over the second penalty……don't be it happens.
But โค Lauren James โค right place right time for the first goal.

  5. I've just read England's player ratings following the match. It gave Russo 5/10 with the comment 'struggled for service'.
Precisely my original point, all our other players passing the ball around among themselves but not one of them delivering a decent ball where it was needed. Pathetic display; one goal that could hardly be missed and a scored penalty that should never have been awarded. Once again, we were fortunate.

  6. As a football fan, I canโ€™t express how much I love Katie McCabe. Excellent win at the beautiful Aviva Stadium for the Lionesses. Leah Williamson as captain was phenomenal, she hasnโ€™t missed a beat. There really isnโ€™t anyone in word football like her. Hampton was really solid in goal, made a couple of phenomenal saves. Those last 25 minutes, my heart was in my mouth. Ireland were relentless but we defended brilliantly. As a Liverpool fan I know the how dangerous Campbellโ€™s long throws are. Back to back games against France next for the Lionesses. Speaking of that great to hear Liverpoolโ€™s club captain Niamh Fahey on comms, her and Seb Hutchinson were great. Englandโ€™s record under Serena now stands at P49 W39 D6 L4 GS 181 GC 28 WR 79.59% ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿฅˆ-๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿฆ

  7. England sure knew how to pass the ball around, they often made it look pretty but without getting anywhere. Before the match Eni Aluko got it spot on what Alessia Russo's role would be but none of the other players seem to have heard that. No-one served her a decent delivery, when they did try the pass was overhit and ended being a goal kick. It makes me wonder what instructions the coaching staff and manager are giving. Russo (substituted yet again) must be as frustrated as hell at being played but not used to her proper ability. Once again last night all our backs spent far too long passing the ball around without making significant progress towards the goal where they were meant to scoring.
We won; to the manager it seems that's all that matters. I disagree.

  8. Ive noticed the mens games only get 3 or 4 minute highlight packages put on here, but womens highlights are 12 or 13 minutes. Is that for all the comedy gold you get from womens games with all the air swings. And goalkeepers flapping at balls?

  9. why would the irish get a free kick for the lioness keeper kicking it into their forward? she's outside the box, the keeper has the whole box from which to kick it, just play on and get on with the game…
