ENGLAND secure first ever competitive win over SWEDEN at EURO 2012



As Sweden face England in the 2018 FIFA World Cup quarter final in Samara, UEFA.tv look back on England’s first ever win over the Scandinavians in competitive football at UEFA EURO 2012. Goals from Andy Carroll, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck were enough to see off Swedish goals from Olof Mellberg.

  1. This team was better than people give credit to Parker and Wellbeck were underrated, Wallcott was a world beater on his day, Caroll didnt meet near enough of his potential and the team didnt give a poor showing against an italian team that swatted a decent german team in the semis.
