Frans Thijssen is the best Dutch player ever in the Premier League, because he was a splendid midfielder together with Arnold Muhren playing the same period in the seventies. Both added finest midfield play to the British typical kick and rush football in general. They upgraded the level in tactics and intelligence on the field. Lot of English football clubs nowadays are successful in the European Champion League and they owe it as legacy to these two brilliant Dutch players.

Bergkamp was the player that made you want to watch foorball and think it was easy. By far the most skilled. Of the current players van Dijk is the best. He is so dominant that strikers just try to be not in his neighbourhood. And when he joins his own strikers, he often scores.
A lot of the comments are about Bergkamp and that's quite logical.
But with a different view,i realy like Jaap Stam and Dirk Kuyt.Jaap wasn't the talent,during his youth footballcareer,but took the right steps up,till he was the worlds best defender,until he got problems with Sir Alex Ferguson.Later Sir Alex Ferguson regretted the way he had handled it thantimes.
Dirk Kuyt started his professional career with a budget contract at Fc.Utrecht ,coming as amateur from Quick Boys Katwijk.
The way ,these 2 players have found their way to the top,shows their drive and strenght,that is so inspiring.
