  1. I think well done to the USA for committing to football finally.

    Gerrard is not playing well because in football terms, he is old. He left Liverpool for the states on a retirement deal. Beckenham did the same as did Pirlo. You need to establish yourselfs as contenders for up and coming players. You can only do that if you can produce quality players.

  2. The Didier Drogba type who takes control of a game…instead of Gerrard somewhere in the middle of the park doing his thing. Ok, I don't mean to sound harsh, but typically its a Gerrard type of player who takes control of a game rather than a Drogba type who focuses on finishing play off. I guess this is a result of how Americans typically consider the actual scoring of the points/goals in games as the deciding factor as opposed to focusing on everything building up to it or supporting it.
    And I mean that with no hard feelings, its just the way I feel Americans approach sports generally.
