Honestly, Nigeria was the least deserving to go to the World Cup. The fact that CAF scrapped points in the final stage of the qualifying group stage helped Nigeria from missing out early in the process
Congratulations to DR Congo. Fantastic win and well deserved. More importantly I hope the people of Congo will live up to its country's name. I hope the Congolese people will be vigilante to a true democracy and an actual republican form of government. Most countries with the words democracy, people's, and/or republic in their nation's name are in reality sham republics and no one has the right to vote. In the 21st century most people have no idea what democracy nor republic mean.

I think Nigeria now has to followed what Morocco and Senegal did. These countries had football officials who stopped stealing the FIFA money for themselves and began to invest the FIFA money in their own academies building an internal infrastructure to develop their own talent within their own country on an organised systematic level, increasing their pool of quality players. Senegal and Morocco have become the clear two best teams in Africa because the FAs decided to be honest and actually invest the money in youth development. Nigeria like my country Ghana have grown too addicted to using diaspora players because it costs them nothing to take a Nigerian player who grew up in England or Germany and receive elite youth coaching from these countries, so allows officials to keep stealing the money and having players of decent level they have not paid to develop. But this money stealing has led to a neglect of the local talent and players like Oshimen are produced despite the system not because of the system. Because no money has gone to investment in centralised youth development or infrastructure. That is why African teams have become weaker in the last 15 years because the rest of world has moved a more organised industrial youth development structure and Africa is just relying on raw talent emerging, except for Senegal and Morocco.
Sincerely Africa has more raw talent any of the continents, but have been let down by corrupt football officials enabled and protected by FIFA. With two missed world cups it is time Nigerian football officials stop stealing the money to enrich themselves and invest the FIFA money in building academies all over the Nigeria, like what Senegal did.
