  1. Klinsmann knows quality, international football. He knows how the youth are groomed/trained in Europe/S. America at a very young age. See, Klinsmann was right with the move. Our Back Line was and is our issue. Also, Bradley has not played up to his capability. Why is Howard our best player? He plays for Everton in the EPL for coach Martinez. He plays world class comp. MLS fans complained about Landon.

  2.  Donovan is a coward period. He has a chance to play in Bundesliga along side the top players in the world and he got his tail between the legs moving back to America where he can be the king. That alone shows his true color as a player.

  3. Klinsmann had a personal issue with Donovan. Dempsey, Altidor, Bradley, even Howard is still there, Donovan could had been a good match combination. Players win games not coaches. USA reached quarter finals of WC in 2002 without Klinsmann or  European coach. Since Klinsman knows it all, he made the World to believed that 23 soccer players in US were ahead of # 1 ranked US soccer player of today  Mr. Donovan, this means that US government officials and the citizens were looking forward for Klinsmann to bring back Gold or silver from Brazil WC 2014.

  4. I said it before Klinsmann is the wrong man for this job, he was a good player not "great" only scored 47 goals for his country, as a coach he is a failure, for Germany and Bayern Munich.
"He who fails to plan is planning to fail". we had four years even in the last year we had enough games to build a solid team and it's insulting to the players that have been used TO QUALIFY for the world cup by picking young fresh unknown and unused hoping they show something AT the W-C. That is bad planning.
Age, Landon 32 is not old, Davis is 32, Miroslav Klose is 34, Drogba is 34, Wondolowski is 31. Donovan has 57 assist and he can defend and attack when needed, and he is an American who helped to get the USA to Brazil. Jurgen Klinsmann has made a fool of America…….

  5. Sure Donovan is out of shape and he probably did awful in those endurance tests but he's old you can't expect this guy to run like a 25 yr old . At the end of the day Donovan is a game changer sub him in and you always have a really good chance that he can deliver a goal or assist. In my opinion its a mistake by klinsmann

  6. You need Donovan for experience and a captain in the locker room. I dont think he's a starter but in a stressful ending to a needed goal, you have to go with Landon.

  7. What makes this guy a genius? Why should I trust him, because I don't and never did. He coached Germany to a 3rd place finish in 2006 in Germany. That's like boasting about coaching the U.S. men's basketball team to a bronze medal in the Olympics. Big effin deal.

  8. This was a shocker but Donovan was already hinting that he may not go while at camp sad that he is not going because he deserved it now all I can say is that I hope jurgen klinsman knows what he is doing and Julian green step up and show us how really good you are USA all the way

  9. I saw an interview on Game 365 with Jurgen Klinsmann and he mentioned that if a player, even a superstar doesn't give it his all in training only 70%, 80%, 90% he had a problem with that. He said he wants players that are hungry and have passion for it and treat the try outs like they have something to prove. I think if Landon Donovan was doubting himself or didn't show he had the passion to give it his all, that is not the American spirit.

  10. I think Jurgen had a good outlook about all if the 30 players. Once they stepped in that camp everything about them went away. It's how you perform now not month or a year ago. Obviously Donovan wasn't in good shape and he didn't make the roster. It's unfortunate, but we just have to move on now and prepare with who we have.

  11. I really don't know why people are so butthurt about no Donovan. Klinsmann made the right decision. It's not like Donovan has been any good this season. No one can dispute that.

  12. It's like leaving Magic Johnson or Michael Jordan or Larry Bird off the dream team. You don't leave your best, most accomplished players at home if you are actually trying to succeed.

  13. As much as I believe it a high risk to not take our all time best player to the WC, all this criticism of Klinsmann's decision just shows how un-informed your average american soccer fan is of the game. Saying Brad Davis doesn't deserve a spot is the same as saying Zusi, Beckerman, and Besler don't when they all play on the exact same level every year and have a great benefit to the team. Davis' being those amazing crosses. The only player I don't feel confident is Gonzalez. Too slow mentally for the international game. It's not the end of the world and we have a strong disciplined and solid american/european american squad. Let's go USA and Brasil. 🙂

  14. You guys who's crying for Donovan are conservatives.  You don't work with him and see him every day.  JK does and being a coach, a soccer player he knows who's better than whom and can help the team better.

  15. he could have done better to prove he wanted in , he relax and other players show more will to play so there thats the explanation fck the media .. u prove u wanna play or u dont n thats it
