  1. Onana's getting the De Gea treatment good GK bad defence.

Also you can 100% tear up a team completely and start again. Look at Chelsea. They did it, all be it they had a owner who was willing to spend alot. But look at them now we all made jokes but they are doing very well currently. Started with a young project. Inexperienced players mixed with young very talented players. Took them awhile to gel but they're playing like a team now. It's working for them.

  2. Ratcliffe and Ineos will have to be willing to essentially pay off players to leave. Better to get them off wage bill moving forward anyway even if u receive nothing as opposed to trying to sell what everyone knows u don't want and hasn't performed for a while. It takes time though.

Arteta took over as manager in December 2019 and only 5 players from that squad remain on books.. He was ruthless even with the guys that fans thought were performing and could possibly have a future with club at present. Leno, Emi Martinez, Özil, Aubameyang, Maitland-Niles, Willock, Guendouzi and ESR from squad that season are the examples. And the summer of 2024, really represented the first time fans saw evidence of Edu being good with sales. The owners had to truly believe in project in order to let Edu and Arteta simply force so many assets out with little to no return. As the squad was culled the record with Arteta and Edu on recruitment and retention has been purposeful and always taking into consideration what was needed for Arteta to improve squad to play more and more how he ideally wants while a certain age profile meant probable resale value.

Emery signings Tierney, Martinelli and Saliba along with academy graduates Reiss Nelson and Saka are the only players from 2019/2020 squad still on books.

Does Ratcliffe and Brailsford who aren't football men truly believe in the Berada and Amorim project to back them in a similar fashion? To simply pay the likes of Rashford to leave? Their record at Nice wouldn't fill me with confidence if I was a Man Utd fan. They have been rash and seemingly short sighted with the manager and sporting director merry go round. If we believe they have a clear vision for club they don't make appointments that match that and thus far haven't had the real buy in when it comes to the project of the football people they hire. Ratcliffe's brother promised UCL football in 3 years when they took over to start 2019/2020 season. They have gone through 6 managers to date and Nice has finished 5th, 9th, 5th, 9th and 5th. This despite backing every manager with incomings. Only PSG have outspent them. This seems to be a carbon copy of busines as usual with the Glazers. Not sure why Gary Neville acts like they will mean a sea change. Spent so long blaming Glazers for everything yet ignores the similarities between them and Ineos…

  3. 1:39 chasing the ball? Did you actually watch the game that you’re supposed to be analyzing? There wasn’t a United player within 2 yards of a Newcastle player for most of the 1st half, let alone chasing.

  4. I think United will be a majestic breathtaking addition to Championship..Just imagine the tremendous attention and media coverage the league will get.. Sumptuous
