  1. This goal is a masterpiece and not far behind is his other goal against Argentina in the WC 98. The way he gets the ball from frank de Boer from across the field, takes the Argentinian out of the way and with the outside of his foot scores this beautiful goal.

What a class act this guy was

  2. The greatest thing about this goal is it's not even in his top two goals scored for Arsenal or Holland. Bergkamp was an artist of the beautiful game and a very clever player indeed with unbelievable tekkers

  3. This goal is out of this world…unexpected. when reality exceeds imagination. every day of my life i try to improve, to do it better to achieve the perfection, but there's always something to change…whilst Dennis goal is Art, it leaves you breathless. Than you Mr. Class!

  4. For me as an Arsenal Supporter and having watched him live abt 5 or 6 times, and having met him personally in 2005..he just is my favourite Arsenal player of all time. Absolute baller!

  5. The thing is that we have not seen anything identical to that goal. We have seen volleys, bicycle kicks, sensational solo goals, back flicks etc…That goal is really, really special.

  6. Bergkamp actually scored a kind of similar goal years earlier with the Dutch National team, so, it was planned, it was not an accident, but then most of his goals are, a true artist.

  7. I am not sure if there will be another goal more worthy than this goal, to be featured in a 10 minutes video. Very, very lucky to be able to watch this live on TV back then, and yes, the greatest goal the premier league has ever seen in terms of technicality and sheer brilliance.

  8. Off of technique, imagination and originality this is the best PL goal I’ve ever seen. Never seen this exact same type goal scored again.

Dennis did technically marvellous things in his career since his early days at Ajax. A player for the purists and a champion too.

  9. Thierry henry picking dennis as a teammate over messi says a lot about his class! Back when the premier league had the toughest defensive lines "tucked 4" and were kicking players week in week out

  10. How good that goal was.. How good that player is that you had to make a short documentary about his goal..
One of the greatest of this beautiful game..

  11. Mike Ashley! Alan Shearer! Mary Bell! Ant and Dec! Jimmy Nail! Baron Collingwood! Cheryl Tweedy! Earl Grey! Sting! Peter Beardsley! Rowan Atkinson! Your boys took one hell of a beating! Your boys took one hell of a beating!

  12. The English Premier League gave us great top class players and awesome games, this league is the world's elite and to see our Dennis Bergkamp being honoured for his great contributions at Arsenal makes us proud in the Netherlands.

  13. Whether we Dutch see space differently, I don't know. What I do know is that it's essentially a two-dimensional country: there are no hills worth mentioning. You don't have to use your handbrake on your car.

When everything is flat, and the horizon is infinity, perhaps you do think differently about that third dimension: up in the air.
