Doesn't "wildly inconsistent" mean that he's at least good SOME of the time??? If so, that would be an improvement over what Leicester has been this season, which has been virtually bad all of the time. No reason not to start him.

What Ranieri should have done was get good signings. Not these unknows from Belgium or where ever. Actually good signings, similar to the level of Islam Slimani. Kante was semi-unknown but came off a season where he was had the most interceptions in Europe. You don't have time to develop 5 players sign ready made players for the place Kante left. You don't neee potential to take that, you need a good player.
