Outstanding coach, in multiple ways
This is one of my favourite sessions and always pops up in the queue. Powderly is an excellent communicator.
Very inspiring
brilliant coaching pedagogy
Just let the kids play, quit stopping the game all the time.
I would love to use this drill but the truth is players are coming to me with serious 1st touch deficiencies. I wish clubs in the US would teach the technical skills in unified way instead of leaving rec coaches to thier own devices, which usually results in hoofball
Amazing to see the coach doing great work.
Great session. I like his coaching style, structure, attitude, feedback, players ownership. 🔥
Short mixed race kid looks like a baller , definitely one for the future
David is a great coach, love how he interacts with the players and asks them questions to get them thinking.
Not a single white player?! Wow!
thank you Coach
What team are they?
How do you get these young players so engaged? Half of my talks are waiting for them to focus.
Why are there only black kids?
Nice to see. But the defensive aspects of this drill need to be worked on simultaneously. It feels as if the players who aren't "in possession" have very little idea about how to regain "possession". Consequently the team with the ball appears to be much better and more creative than they perhaps are as they are under very little pressure a great deal of the time. The nature of the drill tends to radically favour the team with the ball, which is fine to practice easy possession but it is rather too easy to my mind, particularly for players with a high skill level such as these players.
no matter how many times I watch this, I am inspired each and every time to create more positive and fun sessions.

My lord, even my country's senior national team dont show this style of play
top coach
Good coaching tips
Great coaching.
Let’s commend these athletes, they understood and it showed. 🙌🏽 really good passing and touching!
I love how the coach progressively adds clear points/instructions while in between give the kids space to play and figure things out. The boys seem to be having a blast. Excellent session!
ratio
its easy to coach kids who can already play. Try coaching 12-15 year olds who cant pass or control a ball!
"England"
What’s the setup of the area? Size wise
Thanks for the video, i appreciate that this is a session with grassroot players. From vidoes with academy players it is harder to learn, because every player there is so skilled that there are no inerruption by bad technique or else…thx
I wish i could be part of them 😥
Love it!! Nice drill. Nice attention to details coach. Thats top notch coaching!!
Hi all, can anyone help identify what software does FA use for analysis? such as highlighting area etc? Thank you in advace
Coaching is so so good
top level coaching
I loved it
Such simple and yet very informative/effective drill! Loved it!
Really like this practice. Good concise coaching points. Although I'd have rotated the 'red players' a bit more frequently.
Amazing coaching! Thanks!
Thank you for sharing great session
Top end coach, really good guy too. Glad to see you doing well David
Thanks for sharing. Some useful ways to paint pictures about creating space, recognising when/how your movement will create space for yourself or a teammate.
Possession is good but defending is woeful which makes it much easier.
The coaches use of questioning is very good. It really gets them thinking and he comes across in a positive way to make a simple practise very informative
