I you play with JOY, with LOVE for the game itself, then you dont burn out.
If you get distracted by money, contracts, personalities, egos, doubts, etc.. then it wont last, as nothing else would as well.

I know 3 players that played in either MLS or Liga MX and they were all burned out as well and retired. No injuries, or not good enough. Just not motivated anymore
