It has come out today that the French police had their excuses prepared in advance. All the problems at this match were caused by the police, and local thugs. The police told Liverpool fans to arrive at the St Denis station, and not to use the other station that serves the stadium. The police then forced fans away from the wider safer route to the stadium, onto a much narrower route including a very narrow subway under a motorway. Fans were then forced to wait in a very crowded area to get through only 5 lanes of ticket-checks. Police made the area even smaller by parking vans there. When Liverpool fans finally reached the turnstiles at the stadium, many were closed. And, after the game, police largely did nothing as many fans were attacked by local thugs. The police's excuses for their actions are specious, and what they did was beyond ineptitude. I believe the French police deliberately created all the problems. And months later, not a single police officer or any organiser has suffered any consequence whatsoever. France should never hold another major sporting event again – the Rugby World Cup should be moved away.
At every level football fans get ripped off and badly treated . Whether it’s tickets , shirts , policing , (even tv , sorry Sky ) . it’s exploitation of fan loyalty by the money men and big business. The original “ working man’s game “ has been raped. The sad thing is that it’s the fans that make football what it is. Without the fans football would be nothing. So why are the very people who make the whole game the phenomenon it is get treated like %£&# and tickets go to sponsors , only to be sold on to real fans who end up paying huge amounts. This forces real fans , desperate to see their team , to pay silly money to buy tickets off sponsors who don’t really give a £&#@. Any authorities that preach about fake tickets should shut up until they have put their own house in order.

Fans are nit ti blame at all French police assaulting fans with tear gas no fan should ever have ti experience anything like that at all and those fans that were that experienced it should be rightfully given full refunds and compensation fir what they experienced

The response from the French government has been so cringeworthy it defies belief.
Not only have they blamed the Liverpool supporters before any investigation has even had the chance to be carried out but they have also decided to blame the Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
The French are notorious for their heavy-handed policing tactics.
Saturday 28th May 2022, outside the Stade de France proved no exception to their habits.
A first class example of how NOT to police an event of this magnitude.
Let's hope that they learn some lessons before the next Summer Olympics in 2024 which are from the French capital Paris.
What do you expect from the French !
Surely the cameras all around the ground would tell you the story and the truth of what really happened so why don’t we see all the footage of the 3 or 4 hours before the kickoff and why the game really got delayed ?

OK so EUFA need to ban France from holding the final for 10 years. To use Tear Gas on ticket holding fans is unacceptable. A disgrace. Once again Liverpool supporters are blamed.
