Do we want to win 9 games?? What exactly would that accomplish?? Hmmm let me think, oh ya 9 wins would accomplish the same thing as always. A fringe playoff team who IF they make the playoffs they are one and done and get mediocre draft position. Diddly diddly dink… the same as the Cowboys always do. I get there is some value in putting some wins together even in a season with zero chance of winning a SB to build some 'winning culture/expectations' going forward but honestly finishing in the middle of the pack will just perpetuate the past 30 years of mediocrity. Not that its fun to watch but organically tanking the rest of the year is the best thing they can do for the future. They basically have 2 years left with Dak before they have to give him another ridiculous contract (which Jerry will mishandle yet again) or cut him loose, so they need get as much as they can from the draft for the next 2 seasons before they will need a rebuild from the expensive contracts they have.
Hope we lose out. We need to rebuild the worst defense in NFL history. We started doing this with the trades but our secondary is not an NFL starting group.
