Us reaching the semi finals is being overrated, yes we got there but we crumbled when we played a team with real quality like Croatia there was no creativity in the final third and we just had 5 defenders as some times and a Harry Kane who could only score against the likes of Costa Rica. They say future but Southgate still hasnt found someone who can unlock a defence

no point talking about this now. another 4yrs till world cup. euro is 2yrs later and is not that great. no prestige in that really. all these youngster, wont exist in 4yrs for the most part. we missed the chance this year. same as belgium. france took their chance.
People say mourinho hasn’t helped his players develop which I mostly agree with but if shaw continues this form, mourinho may have just saved this guys career. Originally I thought mourinho broke him but after that injury who knows how unstable shaw was mentally, and yes mourinho publicly called him out but I think it’s only served to give him thicker skin, and improve his attitude, weight etc. And it’s taken a while, but many players don’t come back from these injuries. Do people even consider that mourinho gave shaw the kick up the arse he needed. Of course this method currently hasn’t worked on martial, Pogba. Different players, different personalities which mourinho can’t handle imo. But maybe mourinho deserves a tiny bit of credit for handling shaw which he defo won’t receive from the media.
