The coronavirus pandemic could inadvertently lead to a new English super league being created if football does not do enough to support lower league clubs, according to the Sunday Supplement panel.

  1. Most of the clubs and leagues will be dissolved and it can't come soon enough. Money has ruined the game and their own greed and contracts will be the end of them.

    Leagues will be insolvent.

  2. What's the point just another way to screw more money of the fans to put in the pockets of multy millionaires and greedy players

  3. I'm hoping if one thing comes out of this horrible situation its that people realise how perthetic football and especially professional footballers have become………..BOYCOTT PREMIER LEAGUE FOOTBALL and support your local non league team or lower league team where the players play for love of the game and not just mercenaries

  4. Hang on a minute… sky are complicit in keeping the premier league rich and pulling up the ladder before any of the other teams get a fair chance to compete at the top table!

Why don't you do more to prop up the lower leagues too?

I'm not even a football fan anymore after you got your grubby mitts all over it and ruined the game!

  5. This crisis will lead to a Minor League and Major League franchised system like Major League Baseball, the 71 professional lower league clubs being majority supported and owned by the top 20 echelon clubs, below that the minor league clubs will affiliate with the National League and lower clubs. That is inevitable with independents existing as rare clubs.

  6. If this is the way Sunday Supplement is going ill stop watching. No need to change the studio, new presenter is awkward, too nervous and doesnt fit the programme. Its a slippy slope and its not going to recover

  7. Premier league clubs should be doing alot more for their local communities anyway and I've been saying it for years. Celtic have done more to help people in our local community than any of the premier league clubs and with only a fraction of the budget aswell
