  1. Hey even was pass still in nt outside Iran clear robbed most people don’t know outside as long defender behind u is nt outside this one even clear nt pass rebound 1 Egyptian defender behand goalie clear goal but karma is working great Egypt robbed today 2 times

  2. A better explanation when a ball is played forward or to an attacker there must be two defenders between them and the end line. If a player is in the offsides position at time of they are now offsides they must get in an on sides position which requires a touch from another player also in the on sides position..

Here the deflection off the goalie is not an appropriate touch to put the offsides offender on sides and the same goes for the post of the goal as that is considered an offensive touch!

  3. The “once every 4 years” fans just don’t understand the rules; they just go cry on SM and join the other blind sheep. Even after this explanation they still think Iran got shafted. Pathetic 🤷🏽‍♂️

  4. If a player is offside when the ball is kicked (1st shot not the goal) but the ball gets deflected by the goalkeeper that doesn't reset the offside, the player can't touch the ball, but if a defender intentionally passes the ball or another attacker interferes, the offside rule resets, then it's a legit goal. Deflection and intentional play are 2 key rules here. All it takes is someone else to touch the ball. Same with penalty kicks, if the ball is deflected, the penalty kicker can't touch the ball again, it has to be another player.

  5. That's bull… You can clearly see it was a deflected kick by the goalie not a pass and I'm not even a soccer fan. Clearly politics are involved. They wouldn't have ruled that way against Israel

  6. goalie pulled offside trap…. must be at least 2 defenders on offside line…goalie just became a defender and a defender became a goalie which is ignore as 2nd to last man

  7. Iran was robbed.

In soccer, a deflection off a goalie is very much playable, and IT DOES NOT automatically force a change of possession. If an attacker's shot bounces off the keeper, the ball remains live, and any onside player (or even the original shooter) can immediately play the rebound to score or pass.

The shooter went outside the box to kick the ball. In this example, there was not a pass. It does not require a change of possession. When the ball deflected off of the goliee, (Making the ball still a live ball) there were 3 defenders between the goliee and the shooter.

What is shown here is that player 4 was in an offside position. However, a person can be in offside position if they are not having a play with the ball. Meaning if a ball was passed to him while in offside position, the play is stopped. He is offside because the ball was passed to him while he was in offsides position. However this did not occur. The shooter recieved a deflected ball. To make matters even worse, the shooter recieved the ball with 3 defenders between him and the goal.

  8. The explanation of this makes 0 sense. Sorry but if you’re a defender and you are behind the goalie…what are you doing there? You are not a goalie…and you shouldn’t take away a goal bc the other team is desperate to defend.
Same argument w the taking away Congo 1st goal v uzb- just taking away good goals & moments from the World Cup & the fans and nations watching.
