I’m sad we lost, but I’m proud of the revs. They did NOT look like a team that would be one game away from the finals back in September and October. Who would’ve thought they would beat the supporters shield winners in the playoffs after losing all but one game against them this season? Especially with the injuries that happened. Hopefully we sign Gil to a new contract. He came back from the injury and was our greatest attacking threat. The development of Buchanan and Kessler for next year should also be exciting as well as the homegrowns. Congrats Columbus now win the cup so you can shove it in precourts face.
Obviously not happy to see us go out, but great things will come from this. Seeing that mancienne who was making nearly (1/5 of all of our 100,000 a week salaries) and penillas options have been declined I am expecting us to bring in a near DP quality LM/LW and a good DM. I still want to see Luis get his chance at DM when he comes back, but depth in that spot never hurts. Someone on the left that could make a Lewis Morgan, Jordan Morris, etc. impact would be amazing. For the match, I don’t think any one of the guys played bad in particular. Yes, everyone had two or three bad touches, passes but nothing major. And comparing that to Columbus who had a majority of their players do well, that shows me that we are just a couple of those signings away from being equal or better than the crew. Adam and Carles were very good on the day and Andrew had some great tackles. Overall, not a bad performance it just hurts to go out. GO REVS!!!!!!
