This was VASTLY different from Seattle, and I am all for it. Most notably, the offensive pressure not only looked natural for the players, it thrived. Just like how “The Destroyer” Ojediran scored the first goal, the attack just took any chances it got. That led to a bunch of corners, and young Lucas deservedly got his first goal off of one!! And Captain Steffen very notably stepped up this week, fearlessly attacking the ball in his crucial saves; that’s leadership!! Home Opener ends with the W, let’s keep powering that energy next week against the Galaxy!! Go Rapids❤️🖤💙
Timbers shots looked like point shaving
What a pathetic performance from the Timbers. They don't even seem to know each other, they don't play like a team that practices together. Time for Merit Paulson to sell the team and move on. The Timbers have had bad karma ever since the sexual abuse scandal coverup.

I’m GLAD the Portland Timbers lost. I would’ve been no matter who they’d play. Because they are Oregon! Oregon teams DESERVE those Losses because of how disgraceful they are away from sports. I’m happy our Rapids beat them. But as for the Portland Timbers! You could match those Timbers against our Rapids Biggest Rivals or even any team in other parts of the world that I either like or dislike & still I’d root against those Timbers.
