Cole Bassett broke a scoreless draw in the 89th minute to give the United States Men’s National Team a 1-0 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina in their international friendly. Amar Begic received a red card in the 40th minute, leaving Bosnia with 10 men for the remainder of the match.

USA's B/C teams, even with MLS players, I must admit, have improved getting the ball out of the back and have improved in midfield play. However, without players like Weah, Pulisic, Reyna or McKinney, finishing is still going to be a big challenge. B&H's team was also a B/C team but they had a very tough defense. Their left back (don't know his name) did a very good job at defending. Being a man down and a bit worn out by USA's speed, B&H decided to build back their energy by building a tough wall and letting the American's attack hard and wear out while B&H caught their breath. Around the 60th min, B&H finally caught their second wind and started to create very dangerous counters which, to my surprise, USA handled pretty well. I say that because USA has been notorious for playing hard early in games for many years just to run out of gas in the later stages of the game and collapse against tough European teams. Kudos to their health and conditioning coaching this last year or so for help in filling that gap. If not for this, B&H's strategy may have payed off with only 10 players. USA's last goal was more of a lucky rebound but give them credit for still having the energy to push that hard so late in the game. In a nutshell, I would say that USA's physical advantage and the fact that B&H lost a man late in the 1st half is what made the difference for their B/C team made up by many MLS players. If B&H wouldn't have lost a man, it would have probably ended 0-0. I gave this USA B/C team a B- . Hopefully this helped GB, select the best MLS players to put on the national team since it is beyond obvious by now that he was put their to promote the MLS instead of fielding more American talent playing in Europe.
