This is why Wenger is the most player centered coach in modern football. Because he truly wants to get the best out of them even if they are not the star.
But unfortunately you see this all the time in youth football— where a player is ‘iced out’ of the team after things aren’t working and the coach only focuses on the players he is starting.
But there is no downside to helping the players that are struggling— helping them is helping your team! You’ll never know when you may need that player. There is no downside to keeping them at their best which is why I don’t understand many coaches.
