No offense intended, but Iām an old retired coach and Iām growing weary of all the talk about Colorado needing to run the ball more. Football terminology is behind the actual game. In the shotgun spread offense, ārunning the ballā isnāt the same. Any pass to a running backā¦ shovel passesā¦or any other pass less than 10 yards is conceptually the same as running the ball.
Colorado keep doing what youāre doing.
Flea is the wrong person for a running backs coach I know they are friends but he's not a good RB coach

Yall need to call the right personel plays so the rbs can really open up and run the ball. It's hard to run with just 4 linemen blocking stait. Call some plays where yall have a tightend blocking and gaurds pulling. Toss the rb the ball and have a gaurd pulling in front of him to the outside. Don't just run the ball down the middle every run play that's why the run game doesn't work. It's too basic with 4 linemen come on now. Open up the playbook damn
