I honestly don't get this tournament. There are 30 mls teams, there are 18 liga mx teams. So mls needs 18 and logs mx need 18. Why is it not entirely league? Also, the fact that all of the mls teams needs to win all 3 of their group stage games to advance to this round, yet LAFC also won all 3 but lost to real salt lake by something is very suspicious. It sucks for those mls teams who even tied with 1 liga mx team and cannot advance. I was frustrated with my San Diego fc and Seattle Sounders. Even inter Miami which is arguably the most popular team in the Americas because of Casemiro and Rodrigo de Paul and Suarez were eliminated. I would honestly love to see lafc played but it's super strange this tournament. I can understand now why so many MLS teams didn't put interest into playing since we want to return to the US Open cup. I do too! I remembered when we played vs European teams during the summers and best teams like Chelsea or Sunderland or even Roma. That's was why mls was growing but I feel like now we are going back down again

In football, you don’t mark the ball—you mark the player, making it impossible or difficult to pass or receive a pass. It’s common to see players, especially on offense, running freely without any coverage at all. Many plays, passes, and goals that happen in the MLS don’t happen in Brazilian (Latin American) or European football, precisely because we don’t mark the ball, we mark the player.

This is prime example why Liga MX reigns over Concacaf. Not being able to play at home on top of that have to play against the referees, and still dominate these MLS teams.
