Landon Donovan was home sick which is one of the reasons he return to LA Galaxy. Landon will always be the best player from the U.S.
All I can say is, Dempsey couldn’t qualify to the World Cup without Donovan
Donovan had more potential but did not wanted to bother too much.
Dempsey probably worked much harder to reach the same level of play.
I still can't decide but Donovan was probably more decisive and had more impact on play.
Landon also wore a Mexican jersey for a commercial. I doubt Jamie would ever wear a Man U jersey for a commercial…
All these casuals act like Landon flopped in europe when he got 9 assists in about 20 games at everton
Donovan was a better passer (for so long owning the record for more international assists). And better leader who didn’t like playing in Germany.
Dempsey was a better striker, with the same amount of international goals as Landon.
But didn’t Everton beat Fulham?
Also, set pieces. And speed.
In the end, Donovan was slightly better.

Clint is the better player. He pushed himself and played amongst the best in the game while he was at Fulham and Spurs. Landon just hid in MLS
