Back in 2006, I was standing in front of an elevator waiting on it to come to me. Next thing I know, Clint Dempsey walked up to get on it and I was so nervous I asked him if he was going up or down. He looked at me like I was stupid. Probably because we were on the second floor with a flight of stairs right beside us -_-. He looked at me, looked at the stairs right beside us, and said “Up, man.” Lol nice guy tho

Dempsey is, by far, the greatest attacking product this country has ever created. 72 goals and 24 assists across all competitions at the highest club level in Europe, 57 goals and 21 assists for his country, including goals in three World Cups, the Confederations Cup, and the Copa America. Scored one of the quickest goals in World Cup history, is ahead of any other American in WCQ appearances, and is tied for the most goals in US WCQ history. He is also the only American to become a certified legend for a European club, with Fulham, being their top scorer in their history in the Premier League. That's Captain America.

I remember the lad from his days in Fulham and Tottenham. Clint had to be the best American I've seen play in the Premier League. That goal he scored against England in the 2010 world cup really stung. But I'll give Clint respect for an illustrious 15 year career.
