  1. In Europe, players play on ability, not on nationality. How well they train, compete and help the team to win. Just because a player is American, doesn’t mean they won’t play.

If the next Messi was American, he would play at whatever club, but it would be in Europe and not in America.

  2. The problem is thinking you've earned your spot. In Europe, South America and Africa football is life not a hobby. Boys play their hearts out and never expect to be given anything whether they are good or not. America is going to kill football as we know it. The reality is kicking in that football is about merit not expectency

  3. The issue is nobody is out there looking for our talent. Even for the National Team. There are soo many talented kids playing in the US ad if you don't have the $3k to $5k to play on a high ranked travel team you won't get noticed.

  4. Truth is American players are not technical enough to consistent starters in top teams. The only one I would say is Robinson who is really an English guy who has a dad with an American passport. That is why all the Americans go to Italy because their big attribute is athleticism and in the Italian league where it is less athletic they are more effective. But when players like Pulisic and McKennie are in the Premier League where the athleticism is the highest and their athleticism is cancelled out they are not technically good enough to be key players.

  5. As an American I would only say Pulisic, McKennie, Robinson, and Adams when fit are the only real class players who have the talent and the mindset to be a legit top player. The rest just aren’t really good enough

  6. That is because we in America don't have players with passion. They want everything given to them. Not the case. Every season is different so show up like you are trying out to make the squad. Why our National team lacks on the field.

  7. Do they want a diversity spot or something? He had a decent career!
There have been FAR better players that were always on the bench, or only played domestic cuo games. Why are Americans so hard done by all the time? Give it a rest.
