  1. I think if Matt Freese just does his job then the US stay in the match and at least lose with dignity. I'm not attributing the loss to him alone, but they came out the second half looking better until that happened. That broke them.

  2. Effectively they did get to the quarter finals cos this World Cup is the only World Cup with a round of 32. Historically after the group stage is the round of 16. USA got out of the group stage

  3. There was no heart shown in that performance. They walked on to that field having already lost. All pride in that team was lost with that shameful performance.

  4. The USA team players were sloppy, flat footed and stood around for someone else to go after the ball. Stood around for someone else to play defense. They looked very lazy.

  5. Deuce on the money as always. That last point was especially a very salient one when Deuce said, "We concede too many goals." This has become a bit of a theme, especially against better competition. Its for this reason, among others, but especially this one, that I think the US need to play a 4-5-1 (in a 4-2-3-1)

  6. Simple fact is good teams don’t make the mistakes we made. Pulisic is not as good in these situations as a lot of people think. We need a legit goalkeeper. Too much was made about Balogun being in the line up. Our USMNT doesn’t have the mentality to compete in high stakes games.

  7. It’s time to stop letting only the rich and famous to play for the USA,and give everyone a chance,The USA could have chosen 23 different players and advanced further,

  8. DEBERIAN DE HABLARLE A TRUMP A VER SI ARREGLAN ALGO CON INFANTINO Y REPETIR EL PARTIDO CON TODA Y SU MAFIA, ASI COMO ARREGLARON LO DE LA TARJETA ROJA PARA QUE PUDIERA JUGAR EL ESE JUGADOR AMERICANO OTRA VEZ, VAYA MAFIA DE LA FIFA Y TRUMP QUE HACE LO QUE LE SALE DE LOS HUEVOS NO SOLO EN LO POLITICO , YA HASTA EN LO DEPORTIVO, TIENEN LO QUE SE MERECEN EN TODO POR CREERCE LOS REYES DE TODO EN GENERAL, , USA EN SU PUTA VIDA GANARAN UN MUNDIAL, VAYANSE A JUGAR SU SUPER BOWL O SU BEISBALL Y ESO QUE EN EL BEISBALL ESTAN LLENOS NO JAPANESE CUBAN PUERTO RICO DOMINICAN SOME MEXICAN AND MORE PLAYERS , SIGAN CREYENDOSE LOS REYES DEL MUNDO.

  9. The US needs to rework their youth system. We need academies for clubs like the Europeans. They cultivate their talent young and with purpose.

I'm 47 and I started playing soccer when I was 4 in the Midwest, which was the hotspot for soccer when I was growing up🎉. I played on Select teams from 9 to 17, 4 yrs varsity in HS and as a freshman in College. When I played for Scott Gallagher, a select team, Taylor Twillman was my teammate. He went on to play for the USMT. His career ended from injuries. My career didn't go anywhere from injuries as well.

Those select teams were the best of the best at that time. There were tryouts and only 22 made it out of a couples hundred. We had drills, learned formations etc., but it's just this one guy and his assistant. This is in the '80's. There wasn't some massive infrastructure with tradition teaching us Tiki Taka like La Masia.

We need to import that model and whatever else to elevate the quality of our players at the earliest ages.

Sorry for the long rant, but just tired of seeing the U.S. have the resources and make mediocre progress in even the time since the MLS has been around.

  10. The entire defense was weak, but some specific criticism needs to go directly towards the goalie. That goal scored while he was outside of the box, shouldn't have happened. Lukaku's score in the 93 minute, shouldn't have happened. You can see the physical mistake happening in real time, of being so far out of the box during Belgium's push, not clearing it in one kick, not jumping far enough on the last goal. Played as if he was going to have another chance when the game was almost over. Shouldn't be back on the team.

  11. The team came out with low energy, the crowd noticed this an went silent. The defense is terrible and the MLS keepers need to go! Also, the "pay to play" era needs to end, soccer needs to be for everyone in the USA. You're not going to get the future Dempsey's if your only going to do "pay to play". You'll only get soft privileged kids like Pulisic and Robinson if you continue with pay to play stuff, the type of players that quit when they are down by 2 goals.

  12. Pulusic is not the Dempsey/Donovan we expected/were lead to believe since Qatar. He can not step up and stay motivated until the very last second. This era has failed and USNMT is back to square one and achieving something as great as the 2002 USNMT
