  1. Our country's best player ever, and it isnt even close. Our only American that I loved watching play. I loved watching Tim Howard as well, but as far as position players, no one came close to Clint's skill, excitement, and enthusiasm. By far our best player ever.

  2. Even though his family put all their money on his sister, Clint went all the way. You have to respect that, big time! He stuck with his own goal.
I don't think most americans understand just how hard it is to become a real goalgetter in the hardest league in Europe. For every good EPL striker, there are probably a couple million failed strikers. Premier League is the place to go for any european footballer, so for an american footballer to make a good name for himself there…quite an accomplishment!

  3. Clint Dempsey is the greatest American footballer ever. His combination of talent, toughness, and attitude will remain untouchable, as generations get softer and more self-entitled. I haven't supported the U.S. national team, since he retired. There's nothing to support. Now, they're just whiney leftists kicking a ball around between social media posts.

  4. I'm sure if FC Dallas had been around much longer before, or the Dallas Tornados had been around still, they would have been where he'd honned his skills at a younger age.

I enjoyed seeing him compete. He did had a mentality that Landon lacked, to compete. He could've stayed in Europe but he chose to play stateside again but all around, he was great.
