We should have made the 2018 World Cup. Just ran out of gas. And lacked what we've always lacked – someone like Bale/Lewandoski/Modric etc etc. A real game changer. Someone who has that special touch or shot or dribble. Wes was our best but he was 35 or 36. We lacked a decent striker too. Still do. McClean was a star during this campaign. As usual, gave his all.
